Carol Hawker, M.Ed., LPC

Carol Hawker, M.Ed., LPC, comes to CCF from United Methodist Family Services, where she served as Clinical Coordinator for seven years. Carol offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Specialty areas include anger management, stepfamily development, issues of separation and divorce, and couples counseling. Carol also conducts anger management groups for professionals in private, state, and federal agencies, as well as conducting groups for three local court jurisdictions. Carol is an adjunct professor at George Mason University.

Carol has a wide range of experience in program development, implementation, and coordination, as well as a strong clinical background working with both individuals and groups. She has extensive experience as a lecturer and presenter, including workshops and presentations at the university level, for local court jurisdictions, teacher groups, and in private and public agencies. Carol is skilled in working with widely diverse populations in terms of race, age, culture, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.

Carol Hawker earned her Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling from George Mason University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, and the National Association of Forensic Counselors. She is also a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, Level III.
